Chad Summa (Ph.D. Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) has taught Old Testament Studies at Central Christian College of the Bible for the last 21 years. The book of Joshua is named after the primary character and likely author, Hoshea, son of Nun to whom Moses gave the name Joshua (Numbers 13:16).
