Image of God: What Scripture Teaches Us About Identity and Purpose

  • We are God’s intended image, not manmade idols. Ancient cultures crafted idols to reflect their gods, but the Bible reveals that we ourselves are God’s likeness.

  • Human diversity reflects God’s glory. Both male and female—across race, culture, and background—together express the full image of God.

  • Our new identity in Christ restores God’s image in us. Paul teaches that the barriers of status, race, and culture disappear as we are renewed in the likeness of our Creator.

The more we get to know God, the more we can see His image in us.
