Tamara is the CEO of Quality Education Academy, top charter school, leading the way in culturally-responsive education. Having taught Pre-K-12th grade for 22 years and being a principal for 15 years, she mentors the youth social activist group “TRUTH Movement” in which she encourages youth to become empowered through civic engagement/community uplift. After teaching from 1999 to 2005, she earned a master’s in School Administration NCA&TSU and doctorate in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding Graduate University. Tamara enjoyed supporting the NC Triad Think Tank, Carl Spain Center on Race Studies and Spiritual Action, and now, Emancipation Fellowship Ministries.
