Ben Stroup is on staff at Nicholson Christian Church in Independence, Kentucky, where titles are not a big deal—but he is usually the one preaching on Sundays. Over the past 16 years, Ben has served several churches across the state of Kentucky, which explains why he rarely wears shoes in his office. Ben is passionate about helping people follow Jesus with both conviction and compassion, creating churches where skeptics, strugglers, and longtime believers can take meaningful next steps of faith. He is currently working on his first book, APolitical Jesus, and loves preaching, sports, and talking politics without putting Jesus in an elephant or donkey costume. The greatest joys of Ben’s life are his wife, Whitney, and their two boys, Abel and Cohen. The greatest nemesis of his life is their dog, Rudy.
