Are you ready for another exciting family discipleship
conversation? This time, you will be exploring Conversation #9, "What is
the Difference Between Essential, Important, and Personal Elements?"
There are essential elements in the Bible that you need to
believe in order to be Christians. These are the
things that all Christians agree on, like the fact that Jesus died on the cross
for our sins and rose again from the dead. These are the things that we cannot
compromise on or ignore. 🤔
But then there are other things that are important, but not
essential. These are things that Christians may have different opinions about,
like the style of worship or the type of church leadership. You should respect
each other's opinions in these areas and not allow them to divide us.
💡
Christians sometimes argue and treat each other poorly over things that are not
essential to our faith. These are just personal opinions or preferences.
💭 Gather
with your families to learn more about what truly matters in our faith, so we
can focus on loving and serving God and others.
