Your metabolism needs work. So, now the question is “how do I speed up my metabolism?” Build more lean muscle. Understand that every pound of muscle burns 3x the amount of calories as a pound of fat. As you age and especially after pregnancy, there’s likely a loss of muscle tissue. This makes weight loss a lot more difficult as you’re burning much less calories long term. Starving yourself and eating 2 meals a day also isn’t helping as you are lowering your thermic burn of food and rewiring your hunger cues in a negative way. But here’s the misconception.. You now need to lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Physiologically, these are opposites. It’s better to reverse diet first then focus on losing fat after. And yes, you may still be able to lose weight while building your calories. My client Jessica, lost 40 pounds while going from 1200 calories to 2200 calories. Here’s what will not optimize muscle growth 👇🏻 ❌ Orange theory ❌ Group classes ❌ CrossFit Note: Doing a combination exercise like a bicep curl into a squat will not allow your legs to be overloaded. Here’s what you SHOULD be doing instead 👇🏻 ✅ Strength train 3-4x a week ✅ Have 2-4 rest days in a week ✅ Eat a protein rich diet If you need help with your metabolism in 2025 Then shoot me a message with the word “toned” and I’ll see how I may help. #perimenopause #perimenopausehealth #perimenopausefitness #sugar free jello keto gummies #oprah and weight loss gummy #phen weight loss pills #safety of keto gummies
